Rocksteady Music School: From AI Dabblers to AI-Native Team
“The workshop created a fundamental psychological shift. We moved from ‘how do I save time on tasks’ to ‘how do I do my job better.’ Katie got us on a journey we simply wouldn’t be on without her.” — Suzie Cullen, Chief Marketing Officer, Rocksteady.
The Challenge
Rocksteady’s marketing team was stretched, operating across three pods — B2B, B2C and Employer Brand — while sharing Brand, Creative and Comms functions across the matrix.
Fragmented AI Use
Individual experimentation with different tools — Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot — was happening across the team, but without coordination.
Task-Focused Thinking
The team saw AI as a process-efficiency tool rather than a capability enhancer.
Infrastructure Blockers
Manual reporting, approval workflows and briefing processes were creating friction. CMO Suzie Cullen needed the team to adopt AI systematically — not just dabble with it individually.
The Approach
Morning: Strategic Framing
The morning introduced AI-Native versus AI-Dabbler concepts and case studies across demand generation, content and CRM. “If you had five hours back per week, what would you do with it?” became the question that shifted the conversation from tactical time-saving to strategic thinking. The team also learned prompting frameworks through the CLEAR method.
Afternoon: Collaborative Building
Using pre-mapped pain points from discovery calls, the team audited workflows and built shared assistants including briefing templates, social response GPTs and proofreading tools. They live-tested edge cases in data analysis and creative asset generation, while also carrying out a reality check on what AI can and can’t solve.
Key Differentiator
Katie didn’t sugarcoat limitations. When design asset generation and complex data analysis hit walls, she flagged them as infrastructure issues or wrong-tool-for-job scenarios rather than pushing through.
The Results
Immediate Shifts
The Creative Director identified briefing standardisation as the number-one automation priority, now being built. The team learned Projects versus Chat, moving from one-off queries to trained assistants. The Customer Success team generated 50 macros in a single session — work that would normally take weeks.
Four Weeks Post-Workshop
Fortnightly AI check-ins are now established across the team and shared projects are being built. The behavioural shift is clear: “People are treating it like another team member who needs training and feedback, not a magic button.” The team also identified ChatGPT limitations for their use cases and made an informed decision to move to Claude based on testing, not hype.
“The workshop gave our team the frameworks and confidence to move from individual tinkering to collaborative building. Two weeks later, we’ve established regular AI reviews and built shared assistants that are genuinely saving time.” — Suzie Cullen, Chief Marketing Officer, Rocksteady.
About The Full Stack Marketer Workshop
The AI-Native Transformation Program addresses a fundamental challenge in AI adoption: translating tool access into operational capability. Through bespoke workflow mapping, structured methodology and hands-on solution building, teams develop practical expertise that delivers measurable efficiency gains from day one. The approach is grounded in the COM-B framework for behaviour change, ensuring capability development is sustainable rather than dependent on ongoing external support.
